  • The question is no longer “should we offset?” It’s “how do we do it credibly, scalably, and now?”

    The IPCC tells us that to limit global warming to 1.5°C, global CO₂ emissions must fall by 45% by 2030 (from 2010 levels) — and reach net zero by 2050.

    This is not a stretch target. It’s the scientific benchmark for a livable future.

    For aviation, this presents a massive challenge. Even with the best efforts in fuel efficiency, SAF, and fleet upgrades, we won’t cut emissions anywhere near 45% this decade.

    That’s why the IPCC also says we’ll need carbon dioxide removal (CDR) to compensate for residual emissions in hard-to-abate sectors — aviation being a prime example.

    Without quality carbon removals, no airline will get close to net zero.

  • Many programs have been poorly designed, using non-native solutions that fail to integrate into passenger reservation systems, loyalty management systems and indirect distribution channels.

    Scaling participation for meaningful contribution to net zero requires active management, with detailed, ongoing strategy work across loyalty, sales, revenue management, digital and marketing/PR teams.
